Most questions people ask before they contact Witherspoon Boxing are answered below: where to park, how to find Door 19, what to bring and what happens on your first visit.
Finding Door 19
We are inside the Grundy Commons Business Center on Canal Street in Bristol Borough. Look for Door 19. Parking is on site and free.
Driving times from nearby towns
- Levittown and Croydon: about ten minutes.
- Fairless Hills and Morrisville: about fifteen minutes.
- Bensalem and Langhorne: about twenty minutes.
- Burlington, New Jersey: across the Burlington Bristol Bridge, around ten minutes.
What to bring on your first visit
Athletic clothes, sneakers and water. Gloves and wraps are available to borrow. Arrive ten minutes early so we can walk you through the gym and you can sign the waiver in person. There is no online waiver.
Questions we can answer by phone
Class times, membership prices, family discounts and whether a class suits your level are all quick phone questions. For prices, the membership page has the full breakdown, and the class schedule shows every session this week.
Why train here
Witherspoon is run by former professional boxer Tim Witherspoon Jr., son of two time heavyweight champion Tim Witherspoon Sr. Classes are small enough that the coach knows your name. Your first class is free, so the easiest way to decide is to come in.
Opening hours
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Friday and Saturday: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Early classes: from 6:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Getting here without a car
SEPTA Regional Rail's Trenton Line stops at Bristol station, a short taxi or rideshare from Canal Street. From Burlington, New Jersey, the Burlington Bristol Bridge brings you into Bristol Borough a few minutes from the gym.
Booking a free class online
You do not need to call to try a class. The free class page lets you pick a session and book in about thirty seconds, with no card. You will get a confirmation email, and if it does not arrive within an hour, call the gym.
Membership and billing questions
Questions about plans, family discounts or agreement terms are best handled by phone or in person, so we can look at your situation properly. Plans start at $85 a month on a twelve month agreement, with 25 percent off additional family members and 10 percent off for students, active military and emergency services.
Private sessions and coaching enquiries
If you want boxing personal training or are preparing for a bout, mention it in the message form and a coach will call you back. Coaches who want to work with us can use the same form.
For parents
Parents are welcome to visit before a child's first class, and to watch from the floor. Kids boxing classes for ages 6 to 12 are strictly non contact.
What to include in your message
Tell us what you want to train, roughly when you are free, and your experience level. If you are asking for a child, include their age. That lets us answer in one reply instead of three, and suggest the right class straight away.
Where else to find us
Class updates, holiday closures and event news go out on Facebook and Instagram first. The news page collects the latest posts, and the about page tells the story of the gym and the Witherspoon family.
