Why here

A boxing gym,
not a boxing themed gym

Plenty of places hand you gloves and a playlist. Here you learn to actually box, from coaches who competed for a living.

Taught properly from day one

Stance, guard, footwork and defense before anything else. Nobody gets pointed at a bag and left there.

Small enough to be coached

Class sizes stay small enough that your coach knows your name and your jab. That is not possible in a room of forty.

Pro lineage behind every class

Owner Tim Witherspoon Jr. finished his pro career at 10 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw. His father held the world heavyweight title twice.

Inside the gym

Everything under one roof

01

The boxing floor

A full ring, heavy bags, speed bags and open floor space for pad work and combination drilling. Beginner, adult and advanced classes all run here.

Sparring is supervised and skill grouped, with headgear and a mouthpiece required every session. Nobody spars until a coach says they are ready, and many members never do.

The boxing floor
02

The fitness center

Strength training, free weights, rowing machines and exercise bikes in a separate room. Bootcamp and Strength and Strike run here, and members use it during open gym.

Conditioning is what builds the engine behind your punches. Boxing without it runs out of gas in round two.

The fitness center
03

The yoga room

Recovery, mobility and breathwork. Boxing is hard on the body and this is how members keep training for years instead of months.

What Lower Bucks says about us

★★★★★

Been to many boxing rings and gyms over the years, from NY to FL to Philly. This is by far the best one overall. Community based. Black owned. Friendly. Vigorous and structured. Great results, for a reasonable price.

I showed up tonight and Coach Tim gave me a great workout. I screwed up and there wasn't even a class. He could have told me to go hit the bag for an hour but didn't. That's a coach. Class act!

Why people drive past closer gyms

Plenty of Lower Bucks gyms have a heavy bag in the corner. Few are run by a professional boxer. Tim Witherspoon Jr. fought professionally with a record of 10 wins, 5 losses and 1 draw, and his father held the world heavyweight title twice. That is the level of instruction behind every class.

What you can train

Opening hours

Monday to Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Early classes start at 6:00 AM on weekdays. The class schedule shows every session this week.

How much training you need

The CDC recommends adults get 75 minutes of vigorous activity a week, plus two days of strength work. Three sessions at a Lower Bucks County boxing gym covers that with coaching included.
